So, just as one day you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, now always live in union with him. Take root in him and grow. As you were taught, be firm in your faith and be an example for others in praising God.
Be careful that no one captures you with absurd reasons and a philosophy that relies on human traditions and childish ideas of this world. These teachings are not from Christ. Because divinity was fully embodied in Christ, and you have been made perfect through union with Him who is above all powers and principalities.
You too have been circumcised in union with him, a circumcision that was not done by human hands, but by the circumcision of Christ, which is the cutting off of the carnal nature. When you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in your baptism, through faith in the power of God, who resurrected Christ after death, you rose with Him.
God raised you, who were dead because of your sins and were uncircumcised in your body, with Christ and has forgiven all our sins. He canceled our condemnation document along with all the regulations that were against us and destroyed it by nailing it to his cross. On the cross, Christ disarmed all the heavenly powers and rulers and won over them and made them a disgrace to everyone.
Therefore, do not be influenced by the criticism of others regarding food or drink in observance of Eid with the new moon or the Sabbath. These things are only a shadow of the reality that is to come, and that reality is Christ himself. Don’t let anyone stop you from stealing the crown of victory by pretending to be humble and worship angels. Because such a person becomes unnecessarily proud by relying on the dreams he has seen and because of his worldly thoughts. Such people have cut off their relationship with the head, that is, with Christ. Under the command of Christ, the whole body gains strength and is connected by joints and strings and develops as God wants.
