Prayer for forgiveness

Prayer of forgiveness or “forgiveness” in Christianity refers to the prayer that Christians ask God to forgive their sins. This prayer is used as a declaration of submission and repentance from past sins, and acknowledgment of God as the Lord and Leader of mankind.

As an essential component, Christians admit that all human beings are sinners and that divine forgiveness is of great importance. According to Christian beliefs, Christ was born as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind to forgive their sins.

For example, in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 6, Jesus teaches his disciples that they should ask for forgiveness of their sins and those of others so that God will also forgive their sins. This shows that forgiveness and repentance of sins is an essential and vital element in the Christian faith.

Our Father in heaven
Today we want to once again glorify your holy name
We want to stand in your presence and thank you for always taking care of us and meeting our needs
Today we want to pray in the unity of Christ and with one heart that you give us more awareness so that with the help of the Holy Spirit, we remember those who have harmed us and we can forgive them because, O Lord, we want to put your words and commands into action. So grant us this power in the name of your only son, Jesus Christ
Amen
