Reaction to the insult to Jesus Christ (PBUH) in the Australian TV program
In an email to Australia’s Daily Mail, Muslim activist Steve Doblez confirmed today in response to the insult to Jesus Christ: a protest rally has been organized in front of the studio of the offensive program “Project” in Sydney.
The statement read: “As the Muslim community of Australia, we strongly condemn the recent episode of the Australian television program The Project, which aired content that ridiculed the venerable character of Christ (PBUH). He wrote: Such humiliating and insulting statements have no place in a diverse and inclusive society like Australia.
Steve clarified: Jesus (pbuh) has a respectable position as one of the most powerful messengers of God and asked Australians to show “compassion” towards each other.
He added: We ask all people to show compassion and tolerance to each other regardless of their religious beliefs.
Charlie Bachus, a member of the Christian Lives Matter group, has also demanded an apology from the network.
He wrote on Instagram: “It is enough for all of us and this show crossed the border last night by mocking our Lord, Jesus Christ (AS).
This Instagram message was accompanied by many approvals. One user wrote: “I’m very disappointed and will stop watching this show forever. Rule number one in comedy: If you want to have a long career, keep religion and politics out of it.”
One viewer asked: “Since when is it cool to disrespect other religious views?”
In a recent program on Australia’s Channel 10, comedian Reuben Kaye, who was a guest on the talk show, made a joke about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ in response to the hatred he receives from people – and especially Christians – for being gay and wearing disguises. He did something ugly.
A comedian and singer, Kaye is best known for her blunt and nasty jokes on Australian television.
