June 19 Daily Prayer for Challenging Times
June 19 Daily Prayer for Challenging Times: So do not be ashamed of me for testifying about our Lord or for being a prisoner. but join with me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God. He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done, but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Jesus Christ before the beginning of time. (2 Timothy 1:8-9)
O our Lord, bright, light-giving, and almighty God of all ages, be with us at this time. Strengthen the grace we have received from Jesus Christ and let it be known throughout the world so that your name will be honored everywhere. Bless us, we pray, and let your blessing flow from us to others, for the glory of your name. Grant that goodness may be strengthened in us, the goodness we have been hearing about for years. May everything that belongs to your word come alive in us and in the world. Bless our actions, because we want to remain under your blessing, for the glory of your justice and truth. Amen
