According to Christian belief, God sent Jesus Christ to Earth about 2,000 years ago to atone for humanity’s sins by sacrificing His life, to provide divine teachings, to be a perfect model of life for humans, and to establish the Kingdom of God on Earth. Christians believe that the sending of Jesus Christ is the most significant event in human history and a turning point on the path to human salvation.
John 3:16-18: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
God does not want us to be condemned. That is why Jesus Christ, during His ministry, preached the gospel message along with His disciples. This valuable message is recorded in the New Testament of the Bible, in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

So, what do Christadelphians truly believe about the gospel? These writings help us understand Jesus’ profound emphasis on His mission and the reason for His presence on Earth. A recurring theme throughout Jesus’ ministry was going and preaching everywhere. The goal was to spread the good news of the Kingdom of God and create an opportunity for all people to join this kingdom through further discipleship.
The miracles performed by Jesus and His disciples were one of the many reasons for this mission. Through these acts, they were given the power to offer everyone the chance to believe and be baptized. Jesus and His disciples had the power to cast out demons, heal the sick, and cure every type of disease and affliction.
After Jesus’ resurrection, this important mission was reminded to the disciples: He [Jesus Christ] said to them [the disciples], “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:15-18)
Jesus Christ had several reasons for having disciples, one of which was that He was a “rabbi” or, in other words, a teacher. Jesus taught and led His disciples not only like a teacher in school with his students but also like a captain sailing with his crew.
Jesus chose His disciples and spent a lot of time with them. The disciples observed and learned from Him: how He lived, what He did, His words, and even His manner of speaking because He was the perfect model. Jesus prepared them for the time when He would leave Earth and His disciples would continue His work.

Another reason Jesus Christ had disciples was His command to make more disciples. During the time He spent with them, He led them so they could follow His perfect example. Jesus wanted them to continue the work He had done for three years: teaching, leading others, and speaking to them about God, including His plan, purpose, and future.
We can do the same because Jesus Christ trained disciples to complete the work He had started on Earth: spreading the good news, the message of gospel salvation, to the whole world! Now that we have believed and been baptized, we must continue to do the same.
The gospel message about the Kingdom of God promises a future we should eagerly await. Unlike the world today, in this kingdom, God will no longer allow pain, tears, and suffering. There will be eternal life, and death, famine, and diseases will be eradicated forever.
