Who is God? (Christadelphian Belief)
God is the Creator of the universe, who made the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). The creation of the world took place over six days:
Day One: Light and Darkness (Genesis 1:3-5) On the first day, God created light and separated it from darkness. He called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” This was the first distinction in creation, as there was only darkness before.
Day Two: Sea and Sky (Genesis 1:6-10) On the second day, God created the sky and separated the waters under the sky from the waters above it. This created a distinct space for the sky and clouds as well as the waters on and below the earth.
Day Three: Fertile Earth (Genesis 1:11-14) On the third day, God separated the dry land from the waters, calling the dry land “earth” and the gathered waters “seas.” Then God made plants to grow on the earth. This marked the beginning of plant life on earth.
Day Four: Lights of Day and Night (Genesis 1:14-19) On the fourth day, God created the sun, moon, and stars to shine in the sky. He made the sun to govern the day and the moon to govern the night. The stars also appeared in the sky, establishing the cycle of day and night and enabling the determination of seasons, days, and years.
Day Five: Fish and Birds (Genesis 1:20-23) On the fifth day, God created living creatures in the waters and birds in the sky. He gave them the power to reproduce so that their generations would continue in the waters and under the sky on earth.
Day Six: Land Animals and Humans (Genesis 1:24-28) On the sixth day, God created land animals, both domestic and wild. Finally, He created humans in His own image, blessing them and commanding them to rule over the earth and its animals.
According to 1 Timothy 1:17, God is eternal, invisible, and the only God. He is the sole deity (Isaiah 46:9), the one who anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit, which includes the power of God (Acts 10:38).
What is God’s Character? (Christadelphian Belief)
In [Exodus 34:5-7], God introduces Himself to Moses with these words: “Then the Lord came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the Lord.
And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, ‘The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion, and sin.'”
“God is love (1 John 4:8), He is perfect (Matthew 5:48), and cannot be tempted by evil (James 1:13) because wickedness and evil cannot dwell with Him (Psalm 5:4).”
According to [1 Thessalonians 4:14-18], God raised His Son, Jesus Christ, from the dead after His crucifixion, and He will resurrect believers to be united with Christ upon His return in the future.
Where Does God Dwell? (Christadelphian Belief)
God dwells in heaven: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name” (Matthew 6:9), and no one has ever seen God (John 1:18).
What Does God Want? (Christadelphian Belief)
God wants us to be His children. The Lord desires to be our Heavenly Father — one of the most powerful messages in the Bible. God is eager to accept us as part of His special family, summarized in these words:
“But to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God” (John 1:12-13).
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust” (Psalm 103:13-14).
According to the New Testament, thanks to Jesus Christ, God is known as “Father.” Jesus could fully reveal the Father because He was exactly like Him. The first chapter of Hebrews tells us:
“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son… The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.”

God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us, as stated in John 3:16-18:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:16-18)
