What does it mean to believe and be a Christian? The second part

Eating together is a sign of friendship. Jesus offers this friendship to people who open their lives to him. We must open the door to let Jesus into our lives. Jesus is not going to force his way into our lives.
He gives you the freedom to decide whether or not to let Him into your life, but His promise is this: If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into their house. Not that I might enter or think about it. Be sure that if you invite him, he will come inside and always stay with you both now and forever. He promised, he promised.
In the proof of marriage, in addition to the marriage document, one event can be mentioned, and that is the wedding day. To present an event to prove being a Christian, we can point to an event in history, which is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In addition to the evidence and event mentioned, there is another evidence and that is the experience of married life. And this proof of being a Christian is pointing to the experience of living in Jesus Christ, which comes from the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit of Jesus that lives within you. You can’t see the wind but you know it’s there because you see its influence and power.
Some say I don’t think I can be a Christian because I’m not good enough. There are many things I have to do first. But it is not so. You can start as you are. It doesn’t matter what you do and what you achieve. It’s about what Jesus did for you on the cross. All your sins will be forgiven and this is your gift.
Paul writes: Because the wages of sin is death, but the grace of God is eternal life in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23. Eternal life, unlike other gifts, is a free gift and we don’t have to pay anything back for it, but it costs money. It cost Jesus his life.
We receive this gift through repentance and faith. Repentance changes our mind and turns us away from the bad things in life and faith makes us believe in Jesus.
In a way, we practice faith every day. If you are sitting in a chair, you are practicing faith. You don’t know how and by whom that chair was made, but you trust that it will not leave you empty.
Faith means trust. You cannot definitively prove that God exists or does not exist. Believing in the existence of God and the non-existence of God requires faith. Being a Christian means believing in Jesus.
