Jesus Christ or Jesus, peace be upon him, is one of the main and important prophets in Christianity, who, according to Christian beliefs, is the son of God and the savior of mankind. Jesus is known as the founder of Christianity, and his life and teachings are mentioned in the Christian Bible, the New Testament, especially the Gospels. Christian beliefs about Jesus include such things as his holy birth (Christmas), his miracles, his crucifixion and resurrection, as well as beliefs about the salvation of mankind from sins through believing in him and following his teachings.
