Attributes of the Lamb of God
The attributes of God’s lamb, that is, he was ready to have his rights and benefits cut off, his fame to be lost, and to be deprived of every kind of human freedom that he had the right to claim, and at the same time, he was just like a sheep that was speechless before its wool. Jesus never resisted. The lamb never resists. When they insulted him because of us, he did not respond. When he was suffering, he did not threaten others. He never said, “You have no right to treat me like this.” Don’t you know that I am the child of God? “But what about us?” Oh, maybe we are not ready to be deprived of our smallest right. We have emphasized many times that they should show us the respect that our position deserves. We have resisted and fought. The dove has had to run away from us, because we have not been willing to be like a lamb whose wool is cut and he does not say anything, and for this reason, peace has gone away from us and we have become stubborn and unloving.
He did not answer
In addition, Jesus was speechless and silent. The word of God says about Christ: “Like a sheep that is speechless before its wool, it still does not open its mouth. And when people slandered him and blamed him, he did not answer. He never defended himself and did not try to exonerate himself, but when someone says harsh words and lies about us, we are less silent. In order to defend and acquit ourselves, our voices become very loud and the effects of anger are completely revealed in our voices. Even when it was necessary to admit our mistake, we have tried to show our innocence. Whenever we do such things, the divine dove is forced to move away from us and take its peace and blessing away from our hearts, because we are not ready to be quiet and silent like a lamb.
He had no grudges
In addition, Jesus was a spotless lamb. Not only did the ugly words not come out of his mouth, but in his heart, there was nothing but love towards those who took him to the foot of the cross. He did not want to take revenge on them and there was no bitterness or hatred in his heart. Even when nails were hammered into his hands, he would whisper softly: “I forgive you” and asked God the Father to forgive them. He endured these hardships with humility and patience. But our hearts have been full of revenge and hatred towards this and that, while they have not done us one thousandth of the evils they did to Christ. Every time we harbor such grudges, a stain is found in our hearts and the divine dove is forced to flee from us, because we were not ready to endure problems and forgive others for the sake of Christ.
