Jesus said to him: “If you want to complete this way, go and sell everything you have and give the money to the poor so that your treasure will be in heaven and not on earth!” Then come and follow me! But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had a lot of wealth.
Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Know that it is very difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” I tell you again, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God! »
Doing religious orders is not enough!
The disciples were surprised by this and asked: “Then who can be saved in this world?” Jesus looked at them and said: “From the point of view of man, this is impossible, but with God, everything is possible.”
Peter said: “We have given up everything: let’s come after you.” What is the profit for us?
Jesus answered: “When I sit on my throne in that new world, you, my disciples, will sit on twelve thrones and judge the twelve tribes of Israel.” “Whoever forsakes his brother and sister, parents and children, house and land for my sake, he will find a hundred times more and will also get eternal life.
