After a few days, Jesus returned to Nahum’s disbelief and told everyone that he was at home. Many people gathered there, so that there was no place even in the front door of the house, and Jesus was telling his message to the people. Some people brought a paralyzed man who was being carried by four people to him. But because of the large crowd, they could not bring him to Jesus. So they removed the ceiling of the room where Jesus was, and when they opened it, they lowered the paralyzed man while he was sleeping on his mattress. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man: “Son, your sins are forgiven.” »
Paralytic healing
Some of the Jewish scholars who were sitting there thought to themselves: “Why does this person say that?” This is blasphemy. Who but God can forgive sins? Jesus immediately understood what thoughts they had in their hearts. So he said to them: Why do you allow such thoughts in your heart? Is it easier to tell this paralytic that your sins are forgiven, or to tell him to pick up his mat and walk? But for you to know, the son of man has the right to forgive sins on earth. Mafoluj said to that: I am telling you to get up, pick up your mattress and go home. He got up and immediately took his mat and went out in front of everyone. Everyone was very surprised and praised God saying: We have never seen anything like this.
