Who is Jesus Christ? third part

We know that he was completely human. He had a human body, he ate, drank, sweated, got tired, and suffered from pain. He had human feelings and emotions such as love, joy, sadness and human experiences, the experience of growing up in a family, the experience of education, having a job, being tempted, and he experienced grief, pain, torture and even death.
What evidence is there to prove that Jesus Christ was more than just a great religious teacher? There are two parts to this argument. The first part is, what did Jesus Christ think about himself?
Because if Jesus Christ did not think that he was God, this would be the end of the argument. The second part of the argument is that if he thought that he was God, was he right? So what did Jesus Christ say about himself?
The first evidence is the fact that his teachings were centered on himself. Most great religious teachers point beyond themselves. They say don’t look at me, look at God. Jesus Christ, that humble person, used to refer to himself when he wanted to make people aware of God. He used to say, look at me, come to me.
In the introductory part, we talked about the search for meaning and purpose, and about this kind of feeling that is like longing for something that does not satisfy us. Jesus Christ says: I am the bread of life. John, 6:35 I am the one who can satisfy the spiritual longing.
Addiction is a major problem in our society. Jesus Christ says: If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
Today we carry the feeling of worry, anxiety, fear, guilt and many other emotions.
Jesus Christ says: Come to me, all you laborers and heavy rains, and I will give you peace.
Matthew 11:28 He says: If you accept me, you accept God.
If you welcome me, you welcome God. Matthew 10:40
Who is Jesus Christ?
If you have seen me, you have also seen God. John 14:9 Forgiveness is the heart of Christianity. Jesus went to the people and said: Your sins are forgiven.
Now if someone sins against you, you can forgive him. But you cannot go to someone and say that your sins are forgiven. And when Jesus said this, the jurists said who can forgive sins except God? But Jesus claimed he could do it. In fact, he said that he came to give his life so that people would be forgiven.
One of the explicit claims of Jesus is recorded in the Gospel of John 10:30: I and the Father are one.
The first evidence for the claim of Jesus Christ is his teachings. Most of the sayings of the New Testament prove that many people came to learn the teachings of Jesus, like the Sermon on the Mount.
The teachings of Jesus have been the foundation of our entire civilization. Many of our laws were originally based on the teachings of Jesus.
Love your neighbor as yourself: Mark 12:31
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you: Luke 6:31 Love your enemies Matthew 5:44
Another theme that characterizes Jesus’ life is his love for the outcasts, feeding the hungry and healing the sick.
His character has touched millions of people who do not call themselves Christians. Jesus Christ was a person that even his enemies could not find fault in him. Usually our character is tested when we are under pressure and pain, and when Jesus Christ was tortured, he said Father forgive them because they do not know what they are doing.
Another evidence is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy fulfilled by Jesus. There is no other person in history who has a whole collection of books written about him before his birth.
Jesus Christ fulfilled more than 300 prophecies of the Old Testament. The large number of prophecies and their exact time, such as the exact time of his death or the place of his burial or birth, make it impossible to claim that these prophecies were false.

The last available evidence is his victory over death. The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is the main basis of Christianity. There are four proofs for the resurrection of Jesus:
1. His Disappearance from the Tomb: No one has yet convincingly explained how Jesus’ body disappeared from the tomb on the first day of Easter. If the theory that the authorities stole his body was true, why was it that when it was announced that he has resurrected, the authorities did not show his body?
2. His Presence with the Apostles: Jesus was seen on more than 11 occasions.
If we consider that it was just an illusion, we must say that illusion is usually seen among nervous, anxious people or those who use drugs, but it is not logical that all the disciples of Jesus were among these people.
4. A transformation that has been seen in the apostles. They were a disillusioned group and disappointed that their leader had died, but suddenly they changed and kept saying that Jesus has risen and we have seen him.
All of them were somehow killed, tortured or crucified for their beliefs and if they were deceitful people. All they did was say that it was not true, but they never said such a thing because they knew that it was true and that this incident had completely changed their lives.
5. There are now more than two billion Christians worldwide of every ethnicity, continent, nationality, economic and intellectual background.
Jesus Christ is exactly who he claimed to be and is the hope for the future of this life.
There is hope for this life, and now in this life, facing Jesus, we find life in all its entirety.
