Why and how to pray?

Why and how to pray?
Prayer is one of the most universal instincts. Most people pray at some point in their lives.
Jesus Christ said to his apostles:
“When you pray” not “if you pray” then he thought that everyone prays.
If you think a little, you will see that if God exists and created us to communicate with him, then talking to him is the most natural thing in the world.
All relationships are based on communication. When people understand how to communicate, their relationship grows and flourishes.
Prayer is the purpose of creation and the most important activity of our human lives because we were created to have a relationship with God.
How do you communicate in this regard?
Why and how to pray?
with prayer If you are in love with someone, you want to spend time and connect with them, and you want to grow in that relationship.
We grow in the same way in our relationship with God.
Paul says: Through him, that is, Jesus, both of us (Jews and Gentiles – that’s how the whole world was known at that time)
Through a spirit (i.e. the Holy Spirit), we have access to the Father and can approach the Father’s door. Ephesians 2:18
Therefore, Christian prayer means praying with the Father, praying with the Father who loves us.

Jesus Christ tells us to pray with “our father in heaven”. This loving father is also the creator of the whole universe.
The world is very wide. The sun, which is 93 million miles from the earth, is so big that 960,000 planets can fit in it. Did you know that the sun is one of the 300 billion stars in our galaxy? Our galaxy is one of 100 billion galaxies in the world.
For every grain of sand on Earth’s beaches, there are a million stars. In one sentence in the book of Genesis, the author admits that he also created the stars. He created the whole world just like that. We pray to the creator of the universe. He is beyond everything, beyond time and yet near. Through Jesus’ death on the cross, this separation and barrier of sin was removed and we gained access to God. Through Jesus, the Son of God, we have a relationship with the Father, God.
A young soldier fighting for the Union Army in the American Civil War lost his father and brother in the war. He had to return home and help his sister and old mother in the spring planting in the field. Therefore, he went to Washington DC to ask the president for a leave from the military. When he arrived in Washington, he went straight to the door of the White House and asked to speak directly to the president.
A young security official told him: You cannot see the president. The president is too busy to see you. Go back and fight as you should. The young soldier left the White House and did not know how to break the bad news to his family.
When he sat on a bench in a nearby park, a young boy came to him and said: “Why are you so sad?” What has happened? The soldier looked at the boy and opened his heart. He told that child because his father and brother were killed and he is the only man in his family. They needed him on the farm and the only person who could make it possible was the president himself.
The boy said: Come with me. He took his hand and brought the soldier back to the White House. They went through the back door, past the guards, past the generals as well. They also passed high-ranking government officials until they reached the president’s office.
The boy didn’t even flinch. He opened the door easily and entered. There at the table, President Abraham Lincoln was discussing a war plan with the Secretary of the Interior. The president raised his head and said: My son, what can I do for you? The boy answered: This gentleman needs to talk to you.
Our Father He invites us to share in the relationship He had with the Father. Not only do we pray with the Father through Jesus, but we also pray through the Holy Spirit.
In Romans 8:26, Paul says: In the same way, the Holy Spirit helps us when we are weak. We do not know what we should pray for, but the Holy Spirit himself mediates our grace.

Sometimes people say I don’t know where to start. I don’t know how to pray. But when you invite Jesus into your life, he comes to you with his own spirit. He lives inside you. When you pray, his spirit helps you pray and communicate with God. Pray for us to be rewarded along with Dard.
Jesus says in Matthew 6:6: But go to your room to pray, close the door, and then pray to your heavenly father who is hidden. Then your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

What is the reward of prayer?

One of these rewards is peace of mind. Now in the world where life is busy, there are many issues that cause concern such as relationships, career, family, health and smaller issues.

St. Paul says in Philippians: Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, express your requests to God. In other words, when you are worried, pray, amazing results await according to him. He says: The peace of God, which is beyond all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in Jesus Christ. Of course, the meaning of peace does not mean that no problem, trouble or hard work is going to happen, but peace means that you are in the middle of all this, but your heart is calm. It can be said that it is similar to the flow of water in the deep sea. It is true that there are waves on the surface of the sea, but the bottom is really calm, and this is what God grants you when you pray.

Another reward of prayer is a change in mindset. In this busy world, finding time to pray is not easy. You may feel that your time is being wasted, but when we spend time praying and thanking God, the worries of life do not seem so big.

The things we do in life are routine and usual, but prayer changes the way we think about those things and in this way we can face them.
